Kyoko Garabedian, née au Japon et installée à Paris, elle a d’abord développé une pratique figurative en tant qu’illustratrice avant de se tourner vers l’art abstrait.
Elle travaille principalement l’aquarelle sur papier, mêlant encres blanches et parfois du sel, pour créer des compositions épurées. Attirée par le minimalisme, elle explore la beauté de la simplicité à partir d’images mentales inspirées de la nature et des instants du quotidien.
Ancrée dans la culture parisienne mais portée par son héritage japonais, son travail est traversé par l’esthétique du wabi-sabi et la philosophie zen. À travers ses œuvres, elle cherche à évoquer des émotions profondes et une sensation de plénitude, proches de celles que procure la contemplation de la nature.
Ses œuvres ont pris place dans de nombreuses collections privées, en France et dans le monde.
